• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi guys, new to this world, crossing over from the darkside of HD- After a knee replacement and some complications, just dont think a street glide is my ride anymore, purchasing A Spyder RT next week and looking forward to a lot of fun miles, thanks for letting me jump in!

Welcome to the forum Kahamom. I hope you enjoy it. :congrats: On the new Spyder RT!! You can find lots of good information here on the Spyder RT in the different areas of the forum. Make sure and post a photo of your new ride in the Spyder garage area of the forum when you get your new ride home. Sorry to hear about the knee going bad and having to give up the HD SG. It will be a big difference going from the HD (2 wheels) to the Spyder (3 wheels). it will take some time to relearn how to ride. Take your time, read the Dos and Donts above, that helps some when they first start. So give it some time but once you get the hang of riding the Spyder you will love ridding the ride and the wind therapy. when you come to a stop you will not have to put your foot down to hold the bike up, the Spyder will hold you up Wow what a change that is. Oh it's always ready to go after a stop just twist the throttle ( you ever for get to put the bike in first , the spyder will do that for you automatically ). But I will warn you about one thing that takes time to learn don't reach for the hand brake, with the Spyder it all in the foot brake pedal. The brakes are ABS and stop on a dime if you want them to so don't worry about that, but you will find your self reaching for the hand brake and some time the clutch. The Spyder is so much more relaxing once you get use to it tho, you will see more of what's around you. Live to Ride, Ride to Live! I hope to see you around the forum soon. :2thumbs:
