• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all,

Joined the forum because I am looking into buying, maybe, a Ryker 900Rally. Reason I am looking into a Ryker is that I would like to go on RTW trip but am not able to get a motorbike license due a back problem. Other option I am looking into is converting a motorbike into a trike.

Things I like about the Ryker are the looks, build for 3 wheels, automatic and has a low center gravity point, as well as that I can drive/ ride it on my car license. Though I am wondering if for my purposes it maybe is too low on the ground for I will be coming across plenty unpaved, rock strewn roads.

Hopefully on the forum I will learn a lot and maybe you seasoned Ryker riders can give me feedback on how you feel about the Ryker being able to handle/ do such trip. Ideally, I think, the Ryker would have about 15" of ground clearance though obviously that is not going to happen unless they build a whole new machine. Thoughts on a motorbike/ trike conversion are of course also very welcome. Bikes I am looking into are Suzuki V-strom 650 and Honda 750NCDCT (for that would be automatic shifting as well) and saves me having to learn shifting on a motorbike.

Regards, and safe riding to all,
Inge
