• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you

Picked up a low mileage, loaded 2022 Ryker a week ago because my 205K mile 1995 Kawasaki Concours' bulk was beginning to get a little intimidating. Approaching 81, I just don't have the physical confidence like I used to.

Anyway, interested in seeing how the 3-wheel community thinks and hope to pick up some useful tips.

Welcome aboard, Guy! :welcome:

Nice looking Ryker you've got there  But I did notice a few things in those pics that you really might want to reconsider showing the World! :yikes: So I've removed that link!

Sadly, while we do try our hardest to ensure we've only got legit members here, we don't necessarily catch all of the spammers/scammers/low-lives who might feel they're entitled to simply take your gear without asking; and even if we did, because anyone can view much of what's posted here, that still wouldn't stop everyone with a 'less than honest' reason for following the posts on this Forum from reading your posts & viewing any images &/or links you attach... Hence, the Warning Sticky here:

https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums...l-ID-or-Sensitive-details-on-the-Public-Pages

That said, we really haven't had too many members who've been caught out, but that is very likely because we do try to pay attention to keeping the sort of detail off the public pages & remove posts/links that do mention/show those details pretty quickly; but it is noticeable that whenever someone does show something like that, there's an increase in the number of non-members crawling all over the site, and at least some of those are apparently looking for more people/things to target!!

So even if you don't think your risk exposure might be all that great by sharing details &/or pics that might attract the attention of those with 'less than honest' intentions, doing so will also increase the risk to every other member here! :gaah:

With that in mind, you might want to check out your pics, not only for any unique identification detail shown (not only of the Ryker, but there's more than one image with another bike shown clearly in the background! :sour: ) but also for any other potentially 'valuable & attractive' items that your pics might also be showing, and then maybe reconsider showing all of that to us and to the rest of the World as well?

Even if you can't just take pics not showing detail you shouldn't really share, there are quite a few Photo Editing apps out there that are great at blurring some details in a pic, &/or blurring/cropping the background so that not only aren't you showing everyone all the potentially 'valuable & attractive' tools etc you might have, but you'll also be minimising the chances of anyone getting an accurate location for all that gear from your pics simply by using an image look-up tool!! And yes, they not only can do that, but they DO do that and HAVE done that to target some who showed too much in their pics! :cus:

Over to you. And hopefully we'll see you out on the more frequented pages soon, only without any pics/details you shouldn't really share!
