• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello

First post and new to site.

Heading out today to test ride a 2021 Can-Am Spyder RT limited to see what it is all about and if this is the way we want to ride in the future. Just sold my K1600GTL, riding for 45 years, my wife and I love touring and now looking for a slightly different way to do it. I am sure I will have some newbie questions but have found most of the answers so far by reviewing the forum.

Welcome to the forum ferrasr. I hope you enjoy it. You can find lots of good information here on the different models of Spyders and Rykers in the different areas of the forum. Going from a two wheel bike to 3 wheels will take some time to relearn how to ride. 3 wheels is way different that 2 wheels. If you ride a snowmobile it may come to you quicker if not it may take 1000 miles or more before you become comfortable with the Spyder. few things to get use to are no clutch, no hand brake and when you turn you have to turn the handlebars with a lose grip. Once you get use to the Spyder you will be glad you did and wish had had done that a long time ago. The Spyder is super safe, you get to see more things around you, you don't have to put your foot down to hold the bike up every time you stop and the Spyder will down shift it self if you forget to so your ready to go after you stop. Good luck with your Spyder research. I hope to see you around the forum soon. :2thumbs:
