• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello. Five days ago I bought a new 2023 Spyder RT Ltd. and my wife and I are having a great time getting used to it. I have to unlearn 50 years of solo riding but I am getting it. Steve :spyder:

Welcome aboard Steve! :welcome:

There's a few of us Ozzies here on Spyderlovers, even a couple more South Oz Crow-eaters like me'n you, altho at Mt Barker, I'm down a bit closer to the big smoke of Adelaide than it seems you are - it looks like you're out in the Riverlands?? Drop me a PM if you want to exchange contact details &/or would like to know if I can put you in touch with any of the other local Ryders.

And hang in there with the 'unlearning' bit, once you come to terms with the differences, you'll discover how much of a blast Spyder Ryding can be!! And if you want to push it & your limits a little, then once you start learning how to take advantage of your Spyder's unmatched stability, traction, braking, and cornering abilities, you'll find that there are very few on 2 wheels or in 4 who can keep up with you in the tight stuff! It's really only once the tight corners with potentially unpredictable traction start opening out into looong sweepers & the short straights start growing longer that the dirty great wall of air our Spyders hafta push outta the way comes into play and the others'll start to catch up!! But if you just want to tool along in comfort & style, they do that better'n most too! :ohyea:

Again, welcome! :2thumbs:
