• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New RT Rider

Until June 2020 I rode a Honda VTX 1300 that I customized for long hauls. Long story, but I sold it to my brother-in-law when I decided to pick up a human powered recumbent trike (they are expensive). When I decided to get back on a bike I decided to research the Spyder. Anyway, I pick up my 2021 RT Limited Dark (Petrol Metallic) on the 22nd. I plan to do Route 66 again in 2022.

Welcome to the forum CKelley. I hope you enjoy it. :congrats: On the new 2021 Spyder RTL!! You can find lots of good information here on the Spyder RTL in the different areas of the forum. Make sure and post a photo of your new ride in the Spyder Garage area of the forum when you can. I would love to doo the route 66 drive one day, when I had my 57 chevy I wanted to do that too but never did, maybe someday on the Spyder tho. I hope to see you around the forum soon

Thank you. Sorry I missed your post earlier. I loved riding Route 66 with my VTX. I think the RT ride will be even more enjoyable. When I did it in 2015 I was moving fast and did not stop at all the "attractions" I should have (or diners I should have gone to to talk to the locals). In fact, I was normally covering 500 - 600 miles each day with a two day stop over at the Grand Canyon and two days in LA. In 2022 I plan to do a more leisurely ride, make more stops and enjoy the sights! I'll also drive round trip. In 2015 I had my bike trucked back.
