• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey! Please allow me to introduce myself...

Welcome Mickey. I myself am man enough to say that, I'm in the reluctant crowd with having a new owner as an ambassador. With that being said, I want to take this time and let you know you are off to a great start to change my mind. I just thought, anyone can act passionate about a product on a video if they think they will get something for free. But now that you have already sealed the deal and then come on this forum and open yourself up by expressing even more passion in your words about our Spyders, this tells me I might have been wrong in my opinion. Please do our Spyders proud by keeping her clean and show her off every chance you get. You have won the best model Spyder (RS) hands down. I'm going to change over to the RT in 20 years though, when I'm ready for that a lazy boy recliner feel and a on board microwave. LOL !!! Put the Honda away and put a cover over it because after riding the Spyder you will never want to ride the Magna again. Trust me on that !!! You think you had fun sledding down that hill in your video, just wait to you get ahold of that Spyder. Keep us posted on your travels and if you could, have someone take a picture of your face when you first take off your helmet after your very first ride. The expression on your face will convert all the others. So by now you should have a ton of questions swirling around in your head, so fire away. Do you have a name picked out yet for your Spyder ??? Do you know what color your getting ???

Well,,, excuse me. It must be nice to know everything. So why do they call them RT5? Do you know the answer to this one?

RT5 was the previous group and they got RTs. This group is called Spyder Ambassadors and, as we've seen from a few other replies to your post, the new people are getting RS-S Spyders.

Firefly,,, please accept my apologies! You were absolutely correct about the RS-S. My mistake. I guess when I saw the ad I became a little bothered in the heat of the moment and read it too fast (the second time around included). I just took it for granted that they were RT5 ambassadors and thought they were getting RT-S's. Once again sorry.:opps:

Hey, thanks! I really appreciate that. and, I totally understand the reluctance from some of the other owners, because so many of you guys have already been ambassadors since you first got one. Maybe part of this program/contest is catching that first bit of fire...EXACTLY what you were talking about in predicting the look on my face the first time I take off that helmet. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then thank God the internet is so huge, haha.

About the Honda...when the guy called to tell me i had won, he opened by saying, "Well, I have some bad news for you..." My heart kind of sunk, because probably like everybody else, I thought about this non-stop since I entered. I said, "Oh, really?" His next sentence was, "You're going to have to stop riding that Honda." Followed by me screaming.

As far as the name goes, I think I'm going to go with CarolBelle, which are the names of both of my grandmas put together. They've both passed away now and I figure if I have any Guardian Angels watching over me when I ride, it's surely those two little old ladies.

I don't have any idea about the color or anything yet. I've only had a couple of general phone conversations welcoming me to the program. We've yet to get into anything specific, I'll let you know. The only thing I'm hoping for is a passenger backrest, because I've already promised rides to a hundred people. That's already telling because people who I couldn't pay to get on back before are messaging me now.

I'll do my best to make you guys proud, and I'll be open to suggestions about the things you guys like and don't like about the videos. So, if you see that thing looking shabby in a video, don't hesitate to call me out!

BIG OL' CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :2thumbs:
So happy for you and can't wait to hear about how you like your new ride and all your adventures to come.
Quite honestly, just going for gas can be an adventure. ;) Be safe and by all means... HAVE LOADS OF FUN!!!

:congrats: and :welcome: to our world. I'm sure that you will "do us proud". :2thumbs:. I can only echo the comments about you trying to make Spyderfest next week, if it is only for a day. This will be a :firstplace: class event where you can meet hundreds of Spyder Ryders at one time. Safe ryding.

:welcome:

Sounds like you really know how to enjoy life. I know this new adventure will exceed all of your expectations and hope you will be able to share it with everyone you meet.

Congratulations Mickey on your ambassadorship!! You're one lucky guy! I think you're gonna absolutely LOVE ryding Spyders, and you'll soon find that you can't get enough of it. The SpyderLovers community is an awesome one, and I suspect you'll fit right in!

Travel safe... am looking forward to reading your posts and watching your videos!

All the best, Bill
