• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

...So I'm peeking around on E-Bay and these patches and buckles came up.
It's from a seller who's got a store called "SpyderMania". It might be worth look...

BRP Lawyers:lecturef_smilie: will be having a hay day with this guy even if he is in BRP's backyard. I hope spydermania guy has deep pockets to pay for the rights to the logo

I'm willing to take the time to contact BRP trademark management to see what it might take to legally produce some gear. Anyone have a starting point for me?

 I hope that I didn't get anybody in trouble... I just kind of liked what they were selling. I never gave a thought to all of that trademark stuff.:dontknow:

There were a couple of us that tried to get permission to use the "Y" as part of the word "Ynot" and BRP declined the permission.

It just ain't gonna happen guys-- not with anything that closely resembles the "Y" logo. BRP will not release the rights to it.

You can take yer chances like the ebay guy - and chances are nothing will come of it. Ebay has so much stuff like that - much of which is shipped and sold from China --- who doesn't give a rip about copyrights. Look at the guy that still sells the manuals on ebay--- they haven't done anything to him.

There's Spyder sunglasses out there too -- from China of course.

BRP does not care...free Spyder marketing. Get your official Can-Am Spyder belt bucket and patch...Not.

Trust me-- if you mass produce something with their logo on it and are selling it for profit---- they most certainly WILL care.......

I can't figure that out...BRP does not own the rights to the letter 'Y'...now, if you break it up so it looks like their particular red 'Y' logo, with the three parts, this is a different story...

I bought this Buckle in both sizes. Nice Quality but the small one is strictly for the ladies.:spyder2:
