• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey Dummy, your turn signal's on

My right turn signal sticks in the "on" position. I got use to turning it off after every turn but I also installed turn signal LED lights on my mirrors which serve as a reminder they are on.
If you're still under warranty have it replaced. I did on the 2013 RT I had because it also stuck in the right 'on' position.

But if you signal a lane change or a interstate exit - any kind of gentle turn - you'll have to manually cancel the signal.
They will self cancel, but like I say above, it takes about 30 seconds to do so. At 60 mph on the highway that's a half mile they're blinking away aimlessly!

That's true if you make a sharp-enough turn, like at a corner. But if you signal a lane change or a interstate exit - any kind of gentle turn - you'll have to manually cancel the signal.

I have the TricLED strips on the outside of my mirrors, and they really help me. Sometimes when I cancel the signal, I accidentally push it the other way. The LEDs help me notice that.

Not true on my Spyder. I tested mine and if I fail to turn off after a lane change they will in fact go off on their own, but it seems to be a very long time.

I timed it one time as being about 30 seconds, about twice as long as the Goldwing.

Aaaand which is about three times as long as the duration that is 'legally acceptable' in most States of Australia! :banghead:

Leaving your indicators flashing for anything more than 10 seconds after completing a turn or lane change here can & often does score you a fine of about $440!!

I'm pretty sure I have seen OEM style connectors that you put between the one that is already there and wire that to the new LED strip.......... :dontknow: ...... Mike

You can purchase a Spyder 2 wire OEM connector adapter
see
http://store.valueaccessories.net/SpyderOEMStyleElectrical2and5PinSocketConnectors.aspx
Ypu disconnect the connector that goes to the mirror and bridge it with the connector adapter this gives you + & - supply for LED's etc
The adapter and the original connector can be pushed back into the mirror
I used this to put small LED's in the top corners of my RT dash

Well

I have the most effective way to make sure that your turn indicator is off after a turn! My wife usually follows me on our RT and I hear in our comm unit "your turn indicator is still on!

It is easy for me to push in the signal button at the xact time I want it canceled.
Call me Fred Flintstone here but @#$^ I started on a mini bike 53 years ago.
Does not seem such a tuff thing
