There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. " not as soft " ???? …. what psi are you using ???? ………….....Thanks ...Mike :ohyea:

22 for now, trying different pressures to see what feels happiest..

I imagine the sidewallls and radial construction is a little heavier, but I dont mind the harsher ride at the moment.

22 - interesting …. Myself and Peter generally use 16-17 front & 17-18 psi's rear ( for Auto tires -ONLY )…. so 22 is close, try a lower psi and see how that feels ….. Neither Peter nor I would ever suggest a PSI that would cause a problem …… good luck …. Mike :ohyea:

Kendas on my RT were terrible. Rear was shot in 7000 miles and the fronts could NOT be balanced. I bought a used Honda last spring that had Kendas on it and they were just plain dangerous on a twisty road. I wouldn't PUSH a bike with Kendas on it let alone ride one and I don't care who recommends them.

In my experiences Kenda makes a decent bicycle tire, and some decent off road motorcycle tires. However, their street motorcycle and trailer tires are iffy, and their car tires are not reliable at all. Since Spyders ride on what is essentially a car tire, there you have it in my book. In my research and readings the most likely reason the Spyder Kendas are rated as a 'motorcycle" tire is so they can skirt the federal testing and other associated regulations.

I emailed Lamonster Garage and asked them the question about inflation pressure guidance for the rear Kanine (for some reason I couldn't get them on the phone). I'll post any info I get from them if/when they reply.

Interesting how they make specific reference to "passenger car replacements" and being better than stock.

"Greater mileage than stock, better handling than passenger car replacements."
what I get from that is they purposely make the contract bound “stock set” low mileage.:lecturef_smilie::dontknow:

Hi NavyDad, Kenda's on a two wheeler - some people do like to live life on the edge. Could never understand those who would do this. Not hard at all to imagine you sending them to where they belong - the rubbish bin.

I haven't had much of a chance to do a trip 1 up to try other pressures. The Chief cook has been tagging along a lot lately so using the time to get a feel for two-up with the new rubber.

I have one in my garage, the rear tire. Kenda Kanine. Paid $96 including shipping from MotoSports.... waiting for the weather to warm up so I can have the dealer install. I guess I'll be the "test case". Still in the dark on what inflation pressure to use. I'll post the sidewall information from the tire when I get back in town. After I post the info, maybe someone can give me some recommendations on proper inflation, otherwise I'm going with 28 psi.

Check the tire wear pattern after 1000 miles--it will indicate over or under pressure--provided the alignment is adequate.

Safety First--then followed by handling & wear...

Lamonster Garage emailed me back. Apparently they are running the Kanines at 28-30 psi for rear, and 18-20 for the front. Same as the OEM Kenda's. Just FYI.

I guess I am in an enviable position. Just put new "darkside" tires on the 14 in July. I should be good for another two to three years there.

Just got a new F3. Should be good for a couple years there.

By then, the testers will have tested and we will know plenty about the new Kenda Kanines. I am going to sit back and watch. :roflblack:

So I want to take this as good news that will eliminate the hassle of getting a dealer to put on a car tire.

Questions I have, is Kenda known for making a decent tire of any type (if no it doesn't mean this one isn't good, just not a great indicator) and since it "looks" more car tire spec size does that meant dealers may be more forgiving about putting on a car tire that is rated for the rim than they are now?

I know in the two wheeled world, you mention a Kenda, you get flogged. One friend of mine said, the only reason I would put a Kenda on my bike is maybe to move to the other side of the garage and take it back off and trash it.

Kenda does have a definite reputation.

Well I bought the Kanine rear tire since I was due to change mine out anyway. Just got it delivered today.

Cool! Now you and I can both be the "dummies that bought that crappy new Kenda tire"....or we could be the "early adopters that finally found a nice Kenda replacement". Time will tell :dontknow:

Dummies??? Heck no. We call them "beta testers." :roflblack:

I beta tested three different new entries for the Spyder line up. No problems here.
