• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here's My Backup Camera!

I am liking my Can Am more and more. (It definitely takes some getting used to coming from 2 wheels.) As a side note, my wife just got her license (never driven a bike before) and took to it easily. One of the things I have found difficult is backing up. Well, not the backing up part, that is a piece of cake - it is hanging on the the handlebars and turning around far enough to see all the things in my garage I don't want to hit.

I am so used to the backup camera in a car, I'm pretty sure if I had to back a car up without one, I would just stare at the dash paralyzed, lol.

I had already installed a Garmin Nuvi XT (which is awesome) and discovered that a backup camera is available for it (the BC 40).

I purchased a license plate frame on eBay and used automotive 3M mounting tape to mount it under my Thinkware rear camera:

The Garmin now has a small transparent icon that I can select to show a very clear video image of what is behind me

30 minutes to install.

Very good. I have just received my Garmin XT2. I have to see if it too can connect to a backup camera. Thanks
