• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2008 Spyder SM5 has been running great no issues at all with this bike then last night went to start it and turn on the key and the dash cycled thru as usual and then it was like someone disconnected the battery! Everything went dead so i shut the key off turned it back one one more time and after a couple times of doing this the dash came back on and started to cycle again and then about half way through the cycle it goes dead again and now it wont do anything ! Anyone else had this happen ? Any ideas where to start checking ? Thanks For Any Help.

 I'd check to see if the battery's got any charge in it; and while I was in there I'd check the connections to it!
Good Luck!

battery low. Jump start, new battery, check the radio as mentioned on another thread for robbing power. I have found that you can't play the radio very long on the spyder without getting punished with a low battery - have jumped my a few times since getting it because I leave the radio on when doing mods. bad idea.

If the battery is original it may be bad:agree:but it could also be the charging system. Tricke charge the battery over night and see what the volts are on it then start the bike and check the battery volts again, they should be more. I get 13.6 to 14v idling and battery usually has 12.2 static.

One of two things, Loose Neg terminal at the battery, OR and most likely a bad battery.

Most likely need a new battery, but check the battery connections & fuses & relays to

Thats a good point to bring up dawg, but only for us RT owners. Seeing as the OP has an RS, and they don't come with a radio, so no worries there for him/her.

But don't all of the LEOs target RED vehicles first?? :roflblack:
Glad to hear that the issue has been found and fixed! :firstplace:
