There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Help with wiring in an i900 Scorpio Alarm into 2015 Rt Limited

Does anyone know what wire would be best to splice into to hook up the Scorpio i900 alarm system's engine disable circuit? Is this best done at the fuse box? I was thinking of using the Fuel Pump or ignition circuit, but I want to be sure not to upset Nanny or put my :spyder2: into a permanent limp home mode.

Thanks

This is only a guess...on my bike when the circuit has been activated causing the bike to shut down I get error codes pointing to a fuel problem....so I would guess fuel pump circuit. I did not install my Alarm the dealer did.

I wouldn't mess with an engine disable circuit. There is no good reason to do so, IMO. The engine start circuit is totally disabled until the proper key is inserted into the ignition. I think I'm safe in saying there ain't no way to hot wire a Spyder to make it start.

Just wire up the alarm to create a lot of noise and don't mess with the bike wiring.

I have the Scorpio I900 and choose not to use the RID-5 Ignition disabler, do not feel comfortable by having one more mechanical switch that can cause a problem. Lock your handlebars and take the key with you. If someone wants to steal the Spyder, most likely they will stop by with a rollback.

I am staring to feel the same way and may have the circuit removed. It is a pain because if you let the remote control discharge the circuit activates and you have to charge the remote control before you can disable the the circuit.
