• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help please, I'm confused about the F3 handlebar options

Here's the handlebar on my new-to-me '19 F3S:

I'm guessing they're the default factory bars. I would like a lower bar so that I can ride with a bit of forward lean, like my Ryker Sport. Which bar would that be?

I can't find specs on any of the bars, and there seems to be conflicting information on the website. Thanks

Sarah

Don’t know much about the Attitude bars, but the description under Specifications on the long-reach bars sounds like what you are after.

Comparing thumbnail pics above, it looks like the Attitude bars have more pullback out at the bar ends, as well as being a longer reach.

I have thought about getting regular bars for mine, instead of the Drag bars (think "almost straight" - like a broomstick). However, I would need to change lots of other parts at the steering head clamp, as well. I’m 6’1”, and the Drag bars have me reaching just a tad forward. Fine for most rides, but a couple inches back would be better on multi-day rides.

Attitude bars are considered Position D, which is the most forward position of the U-Fit system. Check the For Sale forum. I just listed mine for sale...

Thank you Jetfixer, it's nice to see a picture of the Attitude bars. I'm not sure I'd like that much pull back, my Ryker bars are much straighter than those.

I think I'm starting to get my head around the options, some of the website information was incorrect, I believe.

A previous discussion, wish I'd found it earlier.

And here's one with pictures, even better:

Just to be sure, can I use a 2020-2023 RT bar on my 2019 F3S? I want to double-check, since I've already made the mistake of buying a set of used bars that ended up being the same bars I already have. 😖 Thanks!

You can. It would give you a more forward reach as it's shorter than the F3 standard bar.

I didn't read this full thread, but jetfixer has an Attitude (U-Fit position 4) handlebar for sale on this site. Personally, we have short reach on our F3-S, -T and -L models for a more upright (anti-sport bike) position.

Thanks pauly1, I looked at that but was afraid I wouldn’t like that much pull back. Just this morning I bought a used ‘21 RT bar off EBay. Hopefully I’ll have it this week and can post an update. Thanks again!
