• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help me build a SpyderWeb across America!

Yes, we have to get photos of it, everywhere it goes, kind of like the traveling gnome or SpyderBear. You know, as Scotty said, the Michigan folks will do their part, heck we can even smuggle it through to those Canadians next door and back out the other side to the east coast. It would be nice if we had some kind of plan and network. Kind of a starting point and where to go next.

As you suggest Deb, it could go to Ontario next, and from there maybe to New York State. A New York ryder could take it to Quebec, from Quebec to the Maritime provinces, then to New England. Just a thought.

If you know of a good way to organize this I'm open for suggestions. I don't think we can be to rigid with the plans other than where it is day by day.:dontknow:
I think running it into CA is a great idea too.

I have the banner being drawn up now. It will be 12" by 120" and will have the club logo in each corner with the web address in the middle along with a light spyderweb in the back ground. If we fill the front up with names we can mark up the back too. This will be a lot of fun for sure.:2excited::spyder2:

Great idea Lamont! I'll bet this gets some International mileage too! Hope I can get in on this....as soon as I get my :spyder2: out of the shop!

I think sending it out from FL across the US, through CA, up through OR and WA....across the border through British Columbia, across Canada and back into the east coast of the US would be a great journey

really great idea ... Lamonster ... I'm sure all SpyderLovers would love to join in on this crusade and help make this happen

This was cool idea on a site I use to run. What they did was create a banner with the club logo on it and the idea was to hand off this banner to members in the club all over the U.S. It wound up making it all over the world but it started in America.:doorag:

This is how it will work for us. I will start the banner here in East Tennessee (SpyderLovers Home Base). I will then take it all the way down to Daytona for Bikeweek. If you want to meet me along the way and ride some I will get a picture of you with the SpyderWeb Banner and you can sign the banner as being part of this web. Each member will do the same thing when they have the banner.

I'll hand it off to someone who is willing to get it heading to the tip of FL (The Keys) and then head north with it.

I would like to cover as many states as I can in a years time and at this same time next year give it to BRP as a token of our dedication as SpyderLovers.

I'll setup a board and a map just for this event so you can see where the SpyderWeb is at any given time and volunteer to carry it on. This is all about the ride and it will be a kick to see how far we can move this banner.

If you think you would like to be a part of this please let me know. If you think it's a waste of time I may just have to do it by myself.:D

U can send down California Way I will take it for a spin around sunny Sacramento. :D Great Idea Lamont SPYDER RYDERS UNITE

I am halfway between Sacramento and Oakland. I could pick it up in Sac and pass it to somebody in the Bay area to head for San Francisco.
