There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Check the "radiator cap" under the removable front snap-in cover... visible once you open the hood/bonnet.

There is some history that says the cap may not be installed correctly. Take it off... put in on and twist... first "notch" is not enough... twist until you hit the second notch.

You may need more anti-freeze or distilled water to top the white tank to the fill line.

3 Weeks ago I was on a Ride....The all of the Sudden I had Coolant on my Leg and down the Right side of the Spyder....Hose popped off the Manifold....Pushed it to My local Honda shop and we tore into it....Looks like the lip on the manifold wasnt tall enough to hold the clamp on there....My new manifold is in....gonna ride down next weekend to have them install it..........Anyway,,,,I would start checking everything:cheers:

I had the same thing happen this week. Dealer said to refill tank which was down to the min line, warm it up really good then let it idle so the fan would cycle on and off 3 or 4 times. Did that and have another 50 miles on with no more leaks. Hoping it stays that way.

So, did any of the shortcuts work?

coolant leak

Hello guys !!
I also found some coolant on the floor and after taking off
all the right hand side panels I didscovered that the leak
comes from the water pump housing. I checked the tightness
of bolts and the one that is next to the leak was not fully tight.
any one has had the same experience ???
Thanks.

Have it goin on right now small puddling on floor cap is ok only dripping when cold at dealer now being pressure tested :spyder:

Same here, only when cold.:(
Was down about a 1/2 litre never needed a drop first 8500 miles or so some hoses clamps appear to have not been crimped enough can twist hoses spent 2 hours with them looking but :spyder: was still hot hope its dripping for them in the am :banghead::banghead::banghead: big time

Thanks guys for the quick reply.
Indeed the puddle appeared only when cold
but for sure the leak (small droplets of coolant)
came from the water pump cover.
I just rode the spyder and the area of the leak
is completely dry. I will have my fingers crossed.

has any one found the source of the leak ??

I forgot to mention that also one of the clamps
of the hoses that come from the radiator was not
tight enough.

a simple fix would be great I'm starting to get at wits end with this thing check your base gaskets also my rear cylinder is also wimping a little oil:banghead:

coolant leak

will check the base gaskets too !!!
I discovered that the coolant collected on the
black plastic panel when the engine was hot then
it sipped down the panel and when enough accumulated
over time it fell on the floor giving the impression that
the leak happens only when the engine is cold.

If your dealer charged you $360 dollars for you first service I'd consider finding another one.The average cost should be between $120 to $160.Checking the computer for codes should have been included.

I didn't think that the Rotax had a knock sensor :dontknow:
Would be most interested in the part #.

Make that two of us. There was a bit of discussion about this in a few very long gasoline octane posts and I thought the concensus was that the Spyder did not have a knock sensor.
