• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help II

Here it is, I was able to get my better half to finally to go for a nice ride with me to Santa Fe, New Mexico with the help of the RT 622 Trailer.
Stopped in Taos NM and Boom! Went to open the trailer and the inside latch broke. Now I cannot open the rear hatch only the front. As you can quess Mama's big bag is in back. I dont know if I can get it out the front but I will try.
Does anyone know how to open the unit up? There is no BRP dealer here. Do I have to go inside and take all the plastic apart?
Thank you for your help. Posted earlier and got info here faster than my slow wifi could find.
This site has always been the best!

If you take an ice pick and go between the center lock panel (where the actual lock cylinder is) and the right rear latch you can touch the cable. Depending on where it is broken you may be able to pull it enough to release the latch. Try going in and swinging the ice pick tip to the right (handle to your left). Since I don't know where yours may be broken I don't know if this will work. It worked for us when our lock cylinder came out. Good luck

You could also reach inside the front and try to pull the emergency release tag under the part of the body between the two lids.

Probably mine, too...I never tried it. Thanks for the correction. Wonder how they expect a trapped person to crawl out that front hatch?
I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be in there in the first place :lecturef_smilie: with the lids closed but I think it's cool that they knew someone would do it and they provided a way to escape if they did get locked in.
It's a pretty big opening, I've crawled through much smaller than that. nojoke

Yea, my dealer and I were pretty impressed by them thinking of that, too. First thing most people say when they see inside seems to be, "Somebody could get right inside there." Guess BRP thought the same. I don't bend as well as in my younger days, though, so I'd hate to try to crawl out that front hatch. :roflblack:

Just slightly off topic but I was almost totally inside our Bushtec Roadstar trailer while trying to get the hinges readjusted. Now I know what a sardine feels like.... :helpsmilie: :D

I don't think a Bushtec is rated for that! :yikes:
