• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help f3 stuck in 1st gear

I have a 2016 f3 with less than 600 miles on it that is stuck in 1st gear, when I turn on ignition switch, and I can't get into neutral to start. Help!!

It'll only do that 'shift to neutral & start' thing if you've got your foot on the brake pedal! Sooo, you left it in gear when you shut it down last, you ain't gonna start it now til you put your foot on the brake pedal! :lecturef_smilie:

Check these items:

Is the kill switch off?
Did you put your foot on the brake when you tried to start it?
Did you press the Mode button?

Short on info....

Se6 seems to be the model, not starting meaning only a click..turning over but not firing..nothing..? steps to check have been mentioned above but on the older twin models you could manually shift back to neutral as stated in the manual. You do not have to be in neutral to start but do have to apply the brake. Now if there are other signs like dash and or clicking you may have battery issues...:dontknow:

Yes it was the kill switch. I usually check it but it was dark outside and I didn't notice. Thanks for everyone's help.

Funny story on me on how I learned to check the KS. We had less than 1k miles on the RT and rode over about 50 miles away to purchase a trailer. Where we parked to go into the store was not the spot where we needed to hook up the trailer, so the salesman and the wife are standing over where I need to go watch the idiot (me) try to get this byke started. After about 5minutes, I realized the KS was off. The wife had flipped it off getting off the bike. That has happened several times since, but never caught me again. Now that she has started ryding it solo it nailed her when she first started ryding. I just set there on the Daytona with a puzzled look on my face until she figgered it out. Figured a little payback AND she needed to learn this for when she would be ryding by herself.
