• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help changing grips on 2012 RT-S

HEY EVERYONE- I am new to the site and appreciate all of the info out there!! Don't like my stock grips-find them too small and hard. Have used Grip Puppies on other bikes, but didn't care for them on Spyder. I want to replace the stock grips for more comfortable gel grips. Want to know if I can just cut old grips off and slide new ones on. Checked the archives, but almost all the info on this subject referred to the RS. Of course my RT has heated grips and I don't want to lose that feature. If anyone out there has made this change without damaging the heated feature, I would appreciate your input. Thanks, Bill:D

If by cutting old grips off, you mean the stock grips, I certainly would not recommend. However, if you have installed some grips over your stock grips and this is what you mean by old grips, then certainly. There are several options available and you will still have benefit of the heat.
