There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. HELP 2010 Trailer to 2014 rts, still.......

Just got back from the second dealer. I dropped my trailer off at one dealer yesterday and they were uncertain of what part they needed to order to connect my 2010 brp 9 pin trailer to my 2014 rts with a brand new hitch that they were going to install. I told them I thought I had the part # at home in some reading I had done and would call them today with it. I went to another dealership this morning and met with there service guys and they looked up the info and said I needed part # 219400637 which is an electrical update harness for the trailer side. I called the dealer that has my bike and trailer and said that I think I found the part #. They said they found it and it was part # 710003227, which is the tongue harness for the 2011 and 2012 trailers to convert them to the 4 pin square end.

I am pretty sure the 710003227 part is wrong and was hoping someone might know, or maybe even know of a dealership I could call that is knowledgeable in the trailer wiring.

Depends

How much money you want to spend. Part no 3227 will work, I used it to connect my 2010 trailer to my 2012 rt. Just cut off the 9 pin, cut off the other end of the 4 square and splice the wires that are needed together. There is a thread on here somewhere that has a wiring diagram for the 9 pin so you know what wires to use. And on the 2010 trailer have your dealer run a vin check to make sure the ground wire recall has been done on it, or you take the chance of blowing you trailer module. How this helps, I'm sure others will be able to give you a more detailed process.

Want it done right.

Thank you Bob, the money aspect for me is secondary to having it done correctly. Thats the price I pay for not being ablr to do it myself, and Im OK with that. I will talk to my dealer and mention the recall on the trailer.

Thanks for the input.

the 710003227 is correct; however if you use harness 710003792 has the extra wires for grounding
