• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helmet security

Hi Arion, Yes. I assumed both side bags were the same size until another member pointed it out. I only checked the rear and the left side. I didn't know the right side is a bit bigger than the left. I can not fit my Bell XL into the right side but the Bell Medium will fit.
A member mentioned gun locks as a way to secure them and it works perfectly too.

Thanks.

welcome from boulder city. Joe and Ann in vegas (Squared Away) can and will help you mechanically with your bike...very good folks

I end up putting mine in the frunk, cuz it is too big with the sena on it, and my wife's goes in the right side bag, but updside down because it won't fit sena-wise either. They really should have made both the side bags big enough to fit full faced helmets. That and no front power/sound ports are my biggest complaints of the Spyder.

I just bought a large locking carabiner and small coiled steel cable. I can attach it to helmet rings and to the handrails on my RS. Or put the cable on the carabiner and then pass the cable through an open face shield. The cable also allows me to run it through the arm of my jacket to keep it from walking away, if I want to leave it on the bike. The whole setup is small and fits in my dash bag. Around 10 bucks on Amazon. I take the sena off the helmet and lock it in the frunk on top of whatever is in there if I'm on longer ride.

FinFan3DP does what my wife and I do. We both wear full-face helmets. Wife's in the trunk, my size XL fits in the side compartment (helmet facing inward, front of helmet to front of Spyder). My wife's helmet fits with the SENA on it no problem at all. For my helmet, I slide the SENA off its bracket and then it fits easily.

Yeah, we have to take the Sena off my wife's too.

I have a lock system on my license plate that will lock 2 helmets. It fits behind the license plate and the lock goes through the d rings on the helmet. The helmets then hang behind the bike.
