• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helmet Holders

Thought there were helmet locks under the seat? :dontknow:
There are plastic hooks under the seat on both sides that can be used to hang the metal buckle. Simply close the seat and the helmets hang down the side.

Hey thanks loads. We were so excited looking at everything else we must have missed them.

There is a helmet hook on each side, under the seat, on the RT. They work quite well, although they are too far in to use the helmet D-ring. Just fasten the helmet strap and loop it on the hook, then carefully close (lock) the seat. In inclement weather, I suggest covering the helmets, seat, or both. The Owners Guide (accessible from the BRP site Owner Center), shows a picture on page 40. No such hooks on the RS.

I found a solution

We went to Leesburg yestarday, and there was only room in the frunk for full face helmet. I had to put 1 in the helmet bag and tie that to the underseat helmet hook. Not the best or most secure setup.
Soooooo I came up with the following solution.
125 lb. test aircraft cable from Home Depot.
Notice that the helmet actually sets on the rear running board too.

I am using these, from Ebay and keyed alike. Got the idea from another Spyder ryder and they work great. Gun locks

2 full face helmets will fit in the frunk. Place the top of both helmets down so the 2nd is inside the 1st. It worked for me, just an idea

We put the bottom helmet in upside down and the other laying sideways with the opening facing aft. That's two full face helmets with scala g4 units installed on them.

As for the helmet hooks...we have used them with success. Just loop the strap through the d rings in such a way that holds he helmets tight against the side. It takes a few times to get it right. Once done correctly, it is very difficult to remove them without unlocking the seat...it is possible though.

I just fasten the helmet strap to use the helmet hooks. It is then long enough to reach, and it cannot be unfastened with the seat closed. I suspect it works better with straps with D-rings, though. The clasp ones may be too tight, and are a bit of a pain to loosen every time.

Love this idea. Will have a pair by next weekend. Thanks! :2thumbs:

Thanks for the great idea... I couldn't figure out how to hang my helmet on those hooks, since the seat wasn't closing! :D
