• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello, my name is Joe and I'm a wuss

Hey Bro, I hope you know I was just pulling your chain, I support all branches of our military and have the utmost respect for all of them. Thank you for your service.

Of couse, I know. I'd have commented on Marines, but this is a family-friendly board, after all. :D

It's not if you are going to sweat but how much:ohyea:. I don't mind riding in the heat near as much as those who have to work around me when I get there:yikes:!!

Another wuss story: It was 75 here yesterday. The highest so far this summer. It felt really hot to both me and Linda. I had a hard time driving and sticking to my ATGATT rant.

Glad I have a mesh jacket and Kevlar riding jeans. I get to use the mesh jacket a couple times each summer.

I remember the good old days riding in the lower 48, and don't miss the high summer temperatures. It is now even worse, with 100 degrees plus all over the place.

You, who ride, are to be commended.

Check out the cooling vests at www.allclimategear.com--it was the best money I've spent on a motorcycle accessory in the last 5 years! I've been riding to work here in Tucson since June, and it is usually 100-107 when I go home. I got the one with detachable sleeves, and it feels like I'm in a 75 degree room with that thing on. What surprised me the most was the fact that my clothes are still DRY! The fabric on the inside is water repellent, so even though you soak the whole thing in water to use it, you are not some big wet mess. I only wish I'd found it sooner! :2thumbs:

Just got a text from Faran that she just made her 300 mile solo ride today in this heat from AR to KY. Not bad for a new rider
