• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Heli bars vs Nomagic risers

which risers do you prefer, looking at both just looking for input from riders as to pros & cons of both. Thanks for your help

I'll buck the trend here and say 3" NMN risers...I have the 1" BRP riser so the 3" works perfectly for me...so far, so good...have to get more miles on them, but they really give you a lot of possibilities and are quite functional...

I LOVE how the steering lock still works with these risers...be wary of others...some do not allow the steering lock to work anymore...

NMN all the way

The 4 in. NMN risers :2thumbs:.
Easy to install.:2thumbs:
Feels like spyder handles better:2thumbs:
Look like they belong on it.:2thumbs:
:spyder2:
Took it in to the dealer for service, they noticed them and they asked about how I like them :2thumbs: , they took it for a test ride, next time I went in they had them on the shelf for sale.:spyder::spyder:

I can't give you a true comparrison because I have not tried the HeliBars. I've got the NMN risers and I must say I'm not sure how you could beat them.

They are very solid, extremely functional, adjustable in ways that I don't think a full handlebar could ever match, and they look really great!

Personally, I don't usually get all that excited about handlebars, even good ones. But the NMN risers are the BOMB!

I have heard rumors that 1 or 2 people did not like them. I really find that hard to believe. Maybe that was just unfounded rumor, or maybe they did not install them correctly.

Just can't imagine wanting to take mine off and put anything else (especially stock) back on.

I'll chime in here. I have the Heli bars and like them. They are more expensive than the NMN and more difficult to install. They pull the bars back more than rise and I think the NMN rise more than pull back. I have no experience with NMN's risers, but if I were to do it over, I probably would go with NMN. For whatever it's worth... :chat:

You ask the impossible . . . Well, not impossible . . .

The reality is that many have done this with one product and cannot compare one with any of the others.

In my case I have the HeliBar. My dealer did the install and had no complaints.

I LOVE the change the HeliBar riser did from stock and would not go back to stock! Up 1" and back 4.5" . . .

But, at the risk of repeating myself, I cannot offer a comparison . . .

If you don't know about it, you might want to add the Spyder City riser to your list. Love mine, best bang for the buck, IMO.

MotoGirl loves the HeliBars...says it made all the difference for her comfort both cruising and cornering.

Nmn risers for me I've seen heli bar got offered first set free from them glad I went with nmn not to fond of the look of helibar

A happy Heli Bar Spyer ryder here! But also, no comparison. I have never ridden a Spyder with any other type of riser. Mine had the BRP 1" riser on it when I bought it. It wasn't enough for me. My dealer said the Heli Bar riser could not go on with the BRP 1" already on there. Heli Bar website says differently. I'm so short waisted it wasn't an issue.

I have about 30,000 miles on my NMN risers and I wouldn't ride very far with out them. There's no way I could do as many 1100 mile days if I didn't have them. It funny, when I see a Spyder with stock bars it looks funny to me. :doorag:

The NMN risers can go from all rise to all pullback and anywhere in between as you adjust that when you install them. You could even adjust them to be forward or down (lower than the stock bars) if you wanted.

Yours barely looks like a Spyder cockpit anymore bro, more like a jet fighter. :doorag:

Lamont - just an observation on your risers.

I notice the cables route on the driver side of the riser where mine and others route on the other side.

Are your risers more upright that pulled back?

Within reason I suppose there is no absolute correct way to run the cables given the adjustment for rise and pullback, 3" vs 4", etc

BTW - I have 3" black risers with 1" BRP riser. Unbelievable difference.

Where the cables route also depends on how (what angle) you have your left and right control modules mounted.
