• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

heel and toe shifter

Does anyone make a heel and toe shifter for the Spyder RT? I am experiencing some difficulties with shifting and might have to go to a heel and toe shifter, I doubt that my 1330 RT can be retrofitted with the paddle shifter.
Thanks
Andy

Rivco still has them on their site. I think if you check with Seal or Web Floor boards, they sell them with boards for the SM5's. I'd be surprised if they didn't do something for you without buying their boards.

Thanks but no thanks, I have farkled this one too much already to spend another megsum on a new one and start the farkling process all over again. I thought if all else fails I will tie a string to the shifter lever, then run the string over pulleys to the right handlebar:yes:

I have a heel toe shifter on mine, along with the web mini boards, and I love it! I am sure that they will sell you just the shifter. Be sure to check them out soon. The prices on the shifter increased $25 between the time I ordered mine in March, and the time a friend ordered his around May.

Which one did you get and from whom? Could you give me a URL?

Inspector Gadget is the best for the money. Had it on my 2012 RT SM5 for 2 years, then transferred it to my 2014 RT SM6.

Buy the floorboards and the heel-toe shifter.

Easy install.

So you know I have the Rivco one and it wont work with inspector gadgets floor boards. I had this Rivco one on my Spyder for about 4 months now and never really used it.

I just got the Inspector Gadget one because I also just got his floor boards too. The Rivco one will not work with his floor boards. I will be putting on the Inspector Gadget ones this weekend so expect a video :)

Thanks everyone for the responses. I did email Gadgets and waiting for response. The price certainly makes one lean away from Rivco and I am more for function than bling. The Rivco trailer hitch and isolator harness that I installed on my 1800 Wing were of great quality and I believe the best on the market. I am anxious to see the video Finless will make. My foot drop is not critical yet and may get better with exercise, so I have time to dither before making a decision.
Thanks Youall,
Andy
