Heated Hand Grips

I had occasion to use the RTs heated hand grips today for the first time. They sure are sweet. hyea::yes::clap:

Yes, they do work. I found out when unbeknown to me, i accidently turn them on and my hands started to get very warm. Dale

Used 1st Time on my new RT and Low was great (Just Right) . Love the RT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With the shield up almost No wind noise and Pretty Darn good in the twisties I ride with the Shocks at Level 5 and tires at 19 Pounds!!

I rode today with the shield all the way up. My shocks are at Level 5 and my tire pressure at 17. Top items on my list are Ron's bar and the Elkas. I still can't believe that windshield. Awesome!

My right grip seems to heat quite a bit more than the left one, at both settings.

Anybody else feels this ? I have the same feeling with 2 different glove types.

I'll be riding early tomorrow morning at temps maybe mid 40s or lower. I'll try to pay attention and get back to you.

I rode 400 miles this weekend in temps 27 to the low 50s. I have the Grip Puppies and was still able to keep my hands warm. I ride down to 15 dgrees and had them on my GS and loved them!

The grip/hand warmers are great but how do you turn off the leg warmers?

I agree as well. Heated hand grips are wonderful. I rode home tonight from work 35 miles 43 degrees and was amazed at how I didn't freeze. I never rode my old VTX under 50 degrees. I LOVE that. This will extend my riding season and sure happy about that.

Those grips sure do allow for an extended riding season. If your hands are cold; you're indoors!

Getting back to you on this......Yes, my right grip also feels warmer than the left. Could it be somehow because of the throttle? :dontknow:

As a mature:roflblack:, experienced 2 wheel rider I don't quite know what to make of the grips. To me at low they're hot. I ran them for a little while but it will have to be snowing for me to run them full time. I can't ever imagine turning them on high. What am I going to do with my insulated gauntlets:yikes:

Living in North Eastern Vermont, where the temps do fall to freezing this time of year, I have always appreciated having heated grips. Snowmobilers like myself have used them for years on sleds and I wouldn't want to ride without them. I installed Symtec heated grips on my honda ST1300 when I had that bike. On my RS Spyder I installed these Oxford heated grips and can honestly say they work great! I find this product to be of real good quality. The installation was easy and has a small control box with four temp settings with an led display, color coded to a specific heat setting. You can't beat this product for the price IMHO.

They're pretty hot to me, too...especially with thin gloves. I usually find myself cycling them on and off. Off is too cold, but low is too hot. Your opinion seems pretty normal to me.

Love the grips. Excellent product. Grips were tight, and installation was simple. Used the 12V hook up so I don't drain battery. I was reading the forums and the information was great. Thanks for the thread.
