• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heated gear wire location

I am about (in a few weeks) to be the proud owner of a '15 RT-S. I've most of my questions answered my reading the forum but - - When running the wire for heated jackets, what are the choices for where to exit the panels? I'm not looking forward to pulling the plastic and don't want to do it twice. Thanks in advance for the help.

Power Questuin

I had asked the same with no responses also. Got a Heat Demon Battery vest and it works very nicely

Here's what I did..!!

I ran the wires from the battery under the seat. When not in use tuck them under and when needed dangle them out the side. Least amount of work and easy access...

I had a Gerbing 12 volt port mounted on the left side of my last bike. Very clean with no wire hanging loose to plug into.
I plan on doing the same, port already on order, to my ST which I pick up tomorrow.
I don't know where I'll put the outlet yet, but it'll be on the left side prolly above where my leg will rest.
I'll post pics of mine once it's done. This is how the Honda turned out.

Good luck

I'm considering mounting Powerlets for exactly the same reason.
My last Spyder had a wired intercom system. This new one has the wireless system.
The point is, there are two locations already designed where you would jack into the intercom system.
One is the center of the switch panel just above the glove box. The other is on the left side passenger grip.
Since I'm not plugging in headsets, I'm thinking these would be ideal locations for the Powerlets.

I don't have any ideas about connecting heated gear, but :congrats: on your impending '15 Spyder!!
