• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heat

Ok I know the ST has had a lot of heat issues & all. fyi I didnt get my 13 till after all the recalls & such came out& were done (may 14)& have had no problems to deal with till now. Code P0127 air intake too hot) came up followed by engine temp & limp home. Temp gauge was norm & fluids are fine only 95 but the ambient gauge on bike said 120? & only after I was parked. Went to 107 limping home. Got gas next day & gas cap was uncomfortably hot. Not blistering & do not smell fumes but temp was noticeable. Dealer can only offer to "take a look" anything else I should get "looked @?" Also only 22k miles all services has been on time by same dealer:thumbup: thx Bradford marine Texarkana.

get airflow panels

That's all I can say - get the airflow panels. If you look at the long thread on ST airflow panels at about post 337 (from memory) you will find the part number for the kit. Just ask your dealer, giving him this info and your experience, and he just gets the panels from BRP. There was no time limit on this retrofit kit. It was not a Safety Recall as such.
Course, it could be something else, but this is a great place to start.

I think that the temperature sensor's placement may just be what triggered all of this.
Once it starts reading numbers up around 120; it figures that there's something ugly going on. :yikes:
The fact that it's trapped under all of the bodywork, and right in front of the engine sure doesn't help. If you can pull the Frunk off the bike, and check to see that it hasn't gotten somewhere that it REALLY doesn't want to be; it may help!
Good Luck!

So its getting hot in Texas (100+) and that error code is showing up now. Turns out it doesnt like sitting in the sun for a lengthy amount of time. Once I turn it on, I drive it in limp mode for a few mins to get it cooled off a bit. Turn it off and back on and its back to normal. Its a picky woman she is. ☺

Dealer agrees sitting in heat is about only time she acts up. Ive been in hotter but now shes over a year old :dontknow:. Atleast i know & will keep look out for. Have a service due & can get all looked at. THX everyone:thumbup::firstplace:. Will report back in about a week.

Little checking..!!

The sensor is under the right hand front panel where the air scoop is. Small bugger wrapped in foam (or should be) I heard that some were not placed right causing a problem. If your outside temp gets high (95/100+) and your on a blacktop....that heat is over 160/170*. This causes the computer to complain about the hot air going into the throttle body. Keep moving if possible, park on concrete (lighter color) dirt, grass, covered parking. :gaah:

Yup! :agree:
It might have been either Scotty, or Roger... They reported that the sensor has to sit in "still" air in order to function properly. If you try to move it to a different location; keep that in mind.
