• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

heat vents

No but thats occurred to me. We got the Spyderpops block off plates cat shields and when Harvey put them on at his shop, he drilled the back firewall to let it out. These last few weeks have been heaven but for two months out of the year I almost wish there was a way to undo the holes. Please keep us posted if you do!

Gee... All summer we heard nothing but complaints about the unwanted heat... Too bad that we couldn't pack it up and save it for this time of year! :roflblack:

There have been occasions where I wished for something, especially on the GS/RS. My 2000 BMW R1100RT has a couple of flaps and ducts that can change the direction of the warm air that comes off the oil cooler. In summer they channel the air to the outside, to be carried away in the slipstream coming off the fairing. In the winter they channel the warm air through vents in the dash, in a low pressure area near your hands. It isn't as warm and toasty as a seat by the fire, but it is noticeably more comfortable.

Heat Vents

I'd like to have one on each side of the plastic just below and in front of the knee area. I find that with wool socks my feet stay comfortable down to low 30's (haven't ridden in lower temps) but the knee to ankle could stand some heat. Wearing lined jeans pretty much solves that, but with vents I wouldn't need the heavier jeans. If the plastic panels were flat it would be easy to install a couple like the ones used on small aircraft side windows, but the curved panel makes it more difficult.
