• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heads up Durango camping

I just got a call backup from Alpen Rose RV Park in Durango, CO.
I was wanting to camp there because it's rated as the top campground in that area and they a FREE pancake breakfast each morning.

Well, since I'll be camping in the back of my pickup, I'm not "allowed" to stay there. :lecturef_smilie:J
They have a "no tents" policy. So, this is a RV campground only place.

Look out Threefooter, I may be staying at the KOA. :ohyea:

What's the worst that could happen?

At this point I'm winging it - no reservations made and may well just wing it and see what happens. Wonder how many small tents are allowed on one camp site?

I have a reservation but haven't decided for sure if Im going or saving the $$$ for other rides. I have a aspen tent camper and would consider splitting the cost if they would allow a tent on a site with an RV.

One wouldn't think it would be a big deal but, assumptions get me in trouble faster than anything else :lecturef_smilie:

Do you have a cut off date on whether you're going or not, or are you winging it to the end? ;)

Made my reservations at the KOA where I know some others are staying. The hook up sites are all taken. :( I have a tent site with no hook ups but that's OK with me. :2thumbs: I'll have my 15 watt solar panel if I need it and be carrying my own water. Plenty of silver tarps for shade. 3x what it cost to camp at SpyderFest but I'm sure it's cheaper than a motel.
I'll take a tent to throw my gear in when I'm using my truck for 4x4 uses exploring  where the :spyder2: can't go.

Check with United campground in Durango we have reservations there and they are close to the fairgrounds

I have reservations and have sent the below email for clarification whether they will be able to accommodate tents or not. I will followup with the response here.

Email:

Hello again
I have this reservation for when I come for a Can Am spyder event in June. Friends of mine were planning on camping there also but they have been told there is no tent camping at Aspen. Is this correct? Although I have a tent camper, I would prefer to camp where my friends do. Soooo what is your policy regarding tents. If indeed tents are not permitted, I may need to cancel and rebook somewhere else.

regards
Larry

This is their response:

Where are you guys camping if you only have tents? I want pancakes would rather camp with other spider riders!

Response:

>Hi Larry,

We do not accept tent camping. We hope that you will stay with us.
However, please contact us if you need to cancel.

Thank you for choosing Alpen Rose RV Park.
