• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Great Ride

Just finished a great but sometimes hot ride of 2,465 miles in 9 days. Left Portland OR. across central Oregon , Idaho, Yellowstone, north to Glacier Park, back south thru Idaho into Hells Canyon up through the Wallowa's. Camping and sometimes staying in Hotels. 107 degrees in Cambridge ID. we enjoyed the pool and Hotel. This trip was called the Northwest Montana Chicken Fried Steak Tour. The Best CFS was at a wonderful Lodge near the top of Lolo Pass in Idaho, Lochsa Lodge. Great little cabins, campground and restaurant will make a return trip there to spend a few days. Glacier Park has been a bucket list item for a long time and was well worth the ride. The going to the sun road is amazing. My 2014 RT limited is at 30,000 miles had no problem and Ellies 2015 RT limited at 15,000 miles no issues except twice the digital and analog rpm gauges did not sync. If she turned the bike off and started it again it would then sync. We rode in some heat on this trip with three days in the triple digits and most days in the 90s. Cooling vest were what made the trip bearable. First day out was the longest as we started with a group of six bikes , seven riders with many stops , started out in Portland OR. 8am and got to the Hotel in Boise ID at 10:30 pm and 104 degrees, one bike had trouble with a aftermarket brake light sending it into limp mode, between the heat and mechanical issue they all turned back the next day so Ellie and I continued on by ourselves. I had seen most of the country we rode thru but most of it was new to Ellie and she loves the twisty's. Hell's Canyon, Devils Tail is 688 curves in 46 miles and without many guard rails, not for the faint of heart.

Fantastic ride and pictures. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

The syncing of the gauges may have been due to heat. :dontknow::dontknow:

Thank you for posting. :yes:

Wow...!!

Amazing ryde :thumbup: not enough photos and you could have circled the block and rounded it off to 2,500...:roflblack:must have been a blast even on the hot days...:ohyea:

Sounds like a great trip. I bet the others that started out with you are kicking themselves for turning back after 1 day.

Great Ride, more photos

Riding in from the East side of Glacier Park you are on the bank side of the road most of the time and there are places where the waterfalls directly on the road surface getting you wet. We camped out on the West side and the campground was nice and quite. We field a lot of questions about the Bikes and pop up trailer, most people can't believe it has a queen size bed, I also have room for a porty-potty so Ellie doesn't have to wander around the campground at night. We came back through Hell's canyon and rode the Devils tail, 688 curves in 46 miles. I stop and take photos of Historical signs and compile a journal of the rides and have it printed .

Glad to your trip went well! What a surprise when four of us from Columbia River Chapter we visiting Hepner, OR and I got a text from you as to which room we were in. I thought ??????? You the sent a second message that you were checking into the same motel. It is always wonderful when one runs into friends on a trip by coincidence.
