• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Headlights on with engine off??

I need to adjust the headlights. Is there a way to have them on without the engine running?

The only way I can think of is to turn the key on but dont start it.

I just did mine. I pulled the panels off and located the light adjusters.
Then started it and made the adjustments.
Took hardly any time at all to make the changes. Be lucky to be 1 minute a side.

Where are the controls for adjustment of the headlights?
It's a white plastic 10mm hex beside either bulb. It's easily accessed through the service openings. Tools needed are a 10mm socket on long extensions and a flashlight. Wind painters tape around the socket and extension to prevent losing the socket as you remove the tool.
Adjusts vertical only.

On the light chassis / mount / holder. Screws with springs that wind in and out and, so it moves the beam up and down, or left and right.
Think we have a Euro /Aus light set up but it may help. Separate high and low beam lights.
I recently did one of mine that failed, low beam.

Mine is a very different arrangement, but thanks anyway.

I don't think so ..... we have small batteries, and I think BRP prevented you from doing it .... Yes they do stay on ... AFTER ... you shut the bike off .... but when you start it the lights are delayed coming ON until the alternator sends juice to the system .... Mike

Thank You.
Now that I know where to look
I plan to make the adjustment later this week.
