OK, I wouldn't kid you about the load-shedding relay, but although the left MSL headlight switch is tied in through this relay, it is after the cluster, and I cannot tell from the diagram how it functions in relation to the headlights. If the cluster controls the logic, it is not programmable. Taking a second look, I also see that the headlamp relay itself is actuated through the ECM. In case you wondered, the ECM cannot be reprogrammed either. If you could find a time-delay relay (off-delay) that could be substituted for the headlamp relay, you may be able to accomplish what you want...you'd have to experiment. In my opinion, this is not an area you want to mess with. A stick-on LED light on the dash would be easier and safer...or carry a small MagLite in your glovebox.
