There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Headlight out? > 250 miles? Really?

Noticed my driver's side headlight (come on, you know what I mean...) is out on my 2012 RT-SE5... I know a bulb that burns twice as bright, lasts half as long... But, that seems a little short... Oh Dealer!!! :gaah: :yikes:

Make sure you check it twice, sometimes it just looks out. Step back 15 to 20 feet. I hope it ain't out but it is an easy fix.

Lights are like your heart. You never know when they will go out. But, yes, yours went out pretty quickly. One on our older 2008 SE5 went out at 750 hours.

WoW, that is odd

2 different Spyders in 2 years & over 38,000 miles & the only light we've had to replace was a fender-tip light, which is kinda understandable considering all the vibrations from being on the fenders over the tires. Hope you are able to get it fixed quickly.

It is not a common thing, but bad bulbs do occur. Ask anyone who ever replaced a light bulb in their living room, only to have it burn out instantly, or in a week. As was said, the first thing I would do is make sure it is not just an alignment problem. With the projector lenses on the Spyder, one headlight aimed lower can seem to disappear, especially to other drivers/riders. Same thing happens when you look at the Spyder from one side. The second thing to check is the connectors, making sure they are plugged in properly. If an intermediate connector is not fully seated during setup, it can wiggle loose over time. This is a very common problem with the RTS foglights, for instance. I would also complain to the dealer. Even if not covered under warranty, you might get him to comp a bulb, or give a healthy discount.

High beam out?

By any chance is it just the high beam? On our 2011 RT first the left and then the right side wen tout. Dealer fixed the left side at the 600 mile check. Something was not secure. Now the right side sometime does not light when we start..... And sometimes it does. Going back to the dealer. As it has been mentioned many times here, it is all in the dealer setup

Sorry the head lights are single filament bulbs and when you hit the high beam switch it raises a cover/ shade to expose more off the light . You may have notice when you go over bumps the lights seem to bounce around and some times on coming traffic think you have your high beams on when in fact its just that cover / shade bouncing around .

Looks like I'm in the same boat. Less than 230 miles on my 2012 RT Limited and one of the BRP HID Xenon lights don't work on low or high beam. The fogs still work and one of the HIDs works. I'm hoping it is a loose connection, blown fuse, or bad relay. :banghead:

I'm going to try and figure out how to take the panels off for the first time to investigate. If it is not a simple fix, I'm going to call the dealer. I spent too much money for those :cus: BRP HIDs to have one stop working after a week. I would hope this is covered under warranty. :dontknow:

Took spyder to the dealer this morning and while they were troubleshooting it, the HID light started working again. They put it back together and so far it is holding up. I hope this isn't an intermittent issue that will haunt me later.
