:agree: I seem to burn out a hedlight at the rate of one a year....never a limp mode or even a check engine..:yikes:

I lost one of mine head lights and did not know it until someone told me. I did changed both mind to LED's.

I went back and forth between led or hid and finally decided to go with hid.
I was leaning toward led but I just don't think its ready for prime time yet.
my thing with led was that led's beam would have shorter reach and multiple vendors that sells both led and hid stated that led just doesn't reach as far as hid so hid it is.
philips z-es chip driven led had some nice pattern and very wide beam but shorter reach than hid.
