headlight adjuster cable routing 12 RT A&C

Hey Bob! or anyone else out there for that matter!
got the XENON DEPOT HID bulbs wired into the plugs ready to go back on the bike, question: where'd y'all wind up putting the ballasts and are there any pics of headlight adjuster cable routing? when I pulled the assemblies out last week I got distracted pps: nd didn't take any pics. can't seem to find any pics in the green manual I have either! help!:yikes:

When we stripped Teds Red Sled down to do the KewlMetal Air-Intake mod, we took many pics & posted them in our Albums on our profile page.

While I wasn't specifically taking them to show the HID Kit Lighting Mods, if you know what your looking for, you should be able to see where we stashed ours. The headlights were easiest, as there's plenty of room behind the fixture housing for the components. I don't think we had the Fog HID Kit installed yet in these pics, but ours were routed much easier due to removing all the OEM Plastic of the Air-Box & Resonator, which leaves your engine bay wide open and much easier to work around and do maintenance, but it still should be easy to locate them right around where the housing is. Teddy says that he hopes this helps & good luck

Just tried it on bulb housing assembly won't fit all the way back in there and there's a harness looks like will be real close to it.

went through all 50 shots, don't see the ballasts? geez there sure is a lot to the air boxes! and sure enough you had oil in the bottom of yours!

These are NOT PLUG AND PLAY LIKE THEY ADVERTISE. NOT HAPPY. TOOK OFF WORK TO GET THESE INSTALLED AND STILL NOT WORKING. what a pain. would not have bought these had I any idea what a hassle they were going to be to install. Any one that installed these did you use their relays as well?

I slid my ballasts behind the headlights, at least i think I did

On the Spyder you do not need their relay harness. The headlamps are fed by a relay direct from the fuse block already. Many cars are not with the power going through the headlight switch, thus the relay harness helps get full power to the ballasts for the initial start. Again, not needed on the Spyder. The harness that comes with the Xtream kits plugs directly into the factory harness.

'Phil' placed his ballasts directly on top of the headlight housing. I did the same on mine, but mounted them before putting the headlight assembly back in.

That's only place they'd fit, and 3 days later I'm happy with them now! Sorry for the rant...Am Glad I got the Xenon Depot kit! :thumbup:
