• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heading back to WA

Just a quick note to all you Spyder folk that we are near Rapid City,SD tonite. The temps got up to 101 this afternoon, so we didnt quite make it to RC, but stayed in an air conditioned motel instead in Kadoka.

I would like to report that our 2010 RT has performed flawlessly. Cruising at 75 with 2 up and towing our camper, we have been getting around 25 mpgs. Today the winds on I90 in Montana knocked it down to almost 20. I have to admit, I was skeptical about traveling so far (2500 mi each way) towing this camper, but so far, not a hitch. I ve used about maybe a cup of oil. I had just turned 2K miles on it when we left and now it has around 5500.

The only thing that I can think of that needs to be changed is that nasty stock seat! And maybe the front shocks.

Anyway, we are looking forward to getting home again.

Brad/Pat/Kiddo

We landed in Butte this afternoon. Went to set up the camper and one of the main hinge bolts had came out/disappeared. Luckily Ace hardware was still open. Unfortunately, I told Pat to move something when my thumb was where it shouldn't have been, and..I m gonna be due for a new thumb nail in a few months, this one will be falling off!

Spokane tomorrow and home the next day. It's been a long haul, especially dragging that loaded camper.

We had one helluva storm last night in Wyoming. Lightning, thunder and massive rain. We stayed nice and cozy and it was great weather all day today.

Kiddo is weathering this trip much better than her 'rents!

which camper do you have and do like it
Draboo has the Aspen Sentry, the same tent trailer we have. I don't know about Brad and Pat, but we like ours a lot. I just rewired it so we can use it with Nancy's HHR, too...extending our use.

Hey - does Kiddo have a seat? How do you keep Kiddo on the bike - was it difficult to train Kiddo to ride?

If you look closely at my "avatar" you will see a pic of Kiddo in her carrier. Its on top of the rear trunk of our RT. We had a rack made specifically sized to her carrier. She rides with her "Doggles" on and likes to stick her head out of the side of the carrier while we are riding.

We started riding with her since we got her at 8 weeks. She would ride inside of my wifes jacket when she was real young. Then she graduated to a front carrier rather similar to a frontal baby carrier. After that we bought one for the rear seat of our first Spyder and she rode there last year when we rode over 8K miles. I was riding a Honda, and wife and Kiddo were on the our old RS. We traded in both of those on our RT last fall, and had do devise a new way for all three of us to ride.
