• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Head Sets !!!! ... Is this true??

RT-S PE#0516
They installed my CB today. I pick up our RT tomorrow. They told me that my 7 pin Air Rider ceramic mike head sets doesn't work. They tried their J&M's and they don't work. So they tell me that I will need to order the BRP head sets. BUT, they are not available!!!! I couldn't care less about the CB because we just want the intercom to work.

So my question is this. Is there any other head set that works besides the the one from the 'company'.

We love our RT with all of the thought that went into the engineering to give us all this joy. BUT, after being FORCED to purchased a CB to get an intercom then now FORCED to buy another couple of head sets ($400) ... DISAPPOINTED ... not angry or hateful ... very DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

Thanks in advance,
Tony

Due to the additional costs involved and there not being a lot of information available regarding this subject, I decided to go with an after market solution before I ordered the bike. We evaluated what we wanted out of an audio system and began research on products that fit our wants. One thing my wife wanted was to be able to listen to music, phone, etc independent of what I wanted to listen to. We both decided that we rarely listen to am/fm radio. We also wanted intercom that took priority over any music. In the end, my decision came down to starcom1 or cardo g4. We decided on the g4 due to it being much a much more simple solution. I am not fond of the idea of relying on batteries, but the company boasts a 10 hour continuous use time. If they get anywhere near that, I'll be satisfied. Additionally, I will add a garmin zumo 665. It has a built in mp3 player and xm radio. I will BT my iPhone into it and BT the garmin into my headset. My wife will listen to her iPod more often then not and make the occasional phone call. $450 for the g4 set and $1k for the garmin. I can live with that. Hopefully, these products will live up to our expectations. From the reviews I have read, they certainly should.

J&M Victory Vision Lower Cords

Sorry but your dealer is wrong. Right now the J&M headsets work. I used the Elite 584 series with the Victory Vision lower cords (ZVT).

EdSets is working on a solution also.

Our dealer spoke with Nolan and they are interested in providing a solution - that might include Bluetooth to work with their systems and helmets. I missed a call from them on Friday but hope to talk to them on Monday.

Thanks Lonnie

Lonnie gave me this info before and it does work. You do need the lower cords for the Victory to plug into the Spyder. The dealer is wrong! :yikes:
