• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have the alignment procedure memorized and ready to do them.

First, you can tow with your vehicle or you can set toe on the front end. Lol

Second, by saying you can adjust to someone's ride preference is fine for extreme cases such as my car I run at a track has settings I would never use on the street. But to me, the reason the Outlaw system is gaining popularity is the fact that you can set tried and true perfect alignment? Right?

I don't see it very wise to come on here and say you have a better way after all the work done to gather numbers to make the system what it is? Not to sound harsh, but it's as if the student thinks he's better than the master? :dontknow:

.

Snoopy seriously!

I think the only person that feels the way you do is yourself. I didn't perfect anything. I didn't say it was better. I just posted that I figured out what the process is and was saying how much you could change the handling by adjusting the TOE. I bet their are people on here that will want theirs setup just a little tighter than perfect. Kind of like their are people that would disable the VSS on the spyder. And kinda like there are people that want to put a turbo on a Spyder.

And yes I spelled it wrong.. My fault. Spell check is useless. Grammar check is what I need.

Not to sound harsh, Im not even going to reply anymore to post like this.

I think the people at Outlaw would feel the same way.

perhaps it's the way you worded it, or the way I took it, but it still sounded like you found a better way than Outlaw?

Let us know how it goes. How much Tom, Jason and Dana are on top of it. Steve owns it, John manages the dealership, but Dana is doing the work on your Spyder. Along with several other tech's but Dana is the lead on Spyders and I'm guessing is the one who does the Laser Alignments. I'm going in next Tuesday so I'd be interested in your feedback so I know what to expect.

Alright I 'll keep you posted on how it goes. Hope it goes well they are also installing a Baharon sway bar. They said they never installed an after market sway bar before. Iamb going to them because my dealer doesn't have the laser alignment system. They are atleast an hour from my house.

I put Elka shocks on my 2011 and then Ron's bar when it became available. I think you'll like it. But getting the alignment and bar at the same time will make it impossible to tell how much each one benefited you individually. But the end result is what counts and I'm sure that will be all good. I know John and Dana spotted my Elka's but probably not the bar as it's not exactly obvious. I'll ask them on Tuesday what they thought of the bar they did for you -- before I tell them I already have one! Tell them you know the guy with the red '11 RT that rode to Alaska last year and for whom they did all the water pump shaft replacements. Watch them roll their eyes.

SAS and Torque Sensor

I think to be honest and if you're going to do it right 100% you should check your toe and your steering angle sensor and torque sensor. That would require BUDS so really one should go with the other don't you think?

Just so I know what to expect the dealer to do... Once you get the laser alignment finished and everything is pointing the right direction, do you then hook up BUDS and tell it to set the SAS at zero and to "reset torque offset"? I assume no need to roll across the floor. Just use the laser alignment to tell you it is rolling straight. Is the whole procedure (alignment and SAS reset) done with the pitman arm locking tool in place? (For the torque offset the manual says to remove it as is obvious from what you are doing.) Thanks.
