There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Alright folks. What am I doing wrong? :dontknow:I have had my new Spyder (2013 RT-S) for 8 weeks now and just rolled over 3200 miles. Don't seem to have the issues that I see people complain about. I had one minor limp-mode at the owners event that lasted for about 30 seconds. Don't have the front end shimmy. Don't have the heat issues (hot seat, boiling gas or any of the rest). I get on, ride, put gas in it and keep going. Maybe since this is my first Spyder (long time 2 wheel rider), I just don't know what I am doing. I am a long time Harley rider but I don't get flack from my fellow riders, not even the biker-wanna-bes. I went on a memorial ride today with a bunch of harley riders, (only Spyder) and not only did I not get any smart:cus: comments but I think I got a couple of Spyder converts. I ride my Spyder to HOG meetings, bike nights, and everywhere else. Maybe it is a southern thing, but I get just as many waves on the Spyder as on my other bikes. Since I don't seem to have any real issues to complain about, I feel like I am missing something. Oh well, I guess that I will just keep riding and enjoying my new Spyder and stay happy.:ohyea: Hope I am not starting too much here, but if I am, that is just the way it goes. This is just my opinion but what do I know.

Not a former 2 wheeler as I had not ridden since ~1979 but I find close to 90% wave and are just as friendly as the next guy. Got in a 100 or so miles today in Harley Country and got many compliments and waves.

We kind of feel the same way about our 2013ST :spyder2:. We only have about 1000 miles ridden on it, but they have been trouble free miles :ohyea:. Maybe we should drink one on that note . The only problem that we have had is the belt guard coming loose as were were pulling into our dealers parking lot a few weeks back. It did a number on the guard but the dealer is replacing it at no charge.

You might find some Spyder owners also own and ride Harley's. I would be one of them. I wave to anyone that waves, even scooters, and an occasional golf cart.

I do, however, laugh at those who appear to have attitudes when I ride the Spyder. I often assume these same people would wave if I were on my Harley, because I would then be "cool" or something. So bit it... they are idiots from my point of view.

I don't lose sleep over anyone not waving at me though.

I'm glad that you are enjoying your new Spyder. I have had some issues with my 2013 RTS which I am working on getting fixed. My 2010 had very few problems and it handled great so I knew that my 2013 was not right. I'm not saying that yours isn't right just that I knew for sure that mine wasn't.

I've been in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming this weekend and I have seen more Spyders here than I have ever seen at a non Spyder event. We are definitely gaining in popularity and soon it won't be the odd day that you see another Spyder on the road.

Waves

Went on a mixed group ride a couple weeks ago. Would you believe the Spyder got more comments and questions than this guy?downsize(4).jpg

BBBANDIT A/K/A VERY HAPPY NEW 2013 SPYDER OWNER

So glad to hear you aren't having any problems!:yes: It could be that as you've just gotten your 2013 model 8 weeks ago, that some problems may have been already addressed by either the dealership or BRP prior to your taking possession of your new pride and joy. Or you simply were one of the lucky ones! I bought one of the very first ST-Ls that came out, the first one my dealer got, and as with any "new" version of something (such as combining an RS & RT to make an ST, there are usually bugs. Altho not every one will have those bugs... just some.) Gradually those bugs are being worked out. Who knows why???? You obviously are one of the lucky ones!!! :congrats: And enjoy it!! You aren't missing a thing by NOT having any problems with your Sypder! :D :D:D I love my ST-L, even though there were some very minor problems that have been quickly addressed. Happy trails!!!

Good to hear..!!

ST

I've had my ST-L for 6 weeks and the only issue I have is heat on the left side but am working on it ... love my ST just as much as my BMW and am having fun learning to ride it. I'm not a Harley person (have a BMW and just sold my Honda to accommodate my new Ryde) but here in New Mexico there are such a plethora of bikes - Cruisers, Dual Sports, Trikes, Spyders, Scooters ... who cares? Everyone rides together, waves to each other, to each his/her own, it's an open road. The only one's who seem to have a problem are the Rebel Harley riders who are working so hard at their hardcore persona they don't have time to enjoy and share the road with everyone - they are missing the entire point and just don't get it. The don't wave to ANY BIKE, even the HD's if they aren't sporting a "Hard Core Rider". We wave anyway ... Enjoy your ride !!!;)

Good reports are great. Your not doing anything wrong, someone else is doing something right.
