• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone seen a Viper Red RT-S?

i just took delivery of a viper red rts wed. feb 16th. we have been waiting a few months but being in michigan it isnt a big deal anyway.(plenty of snow still) my fiancee and i rode it 11 miles and to be honest we are kinda scared that we may have done the wrong thing. we came from a 2008 harley ultra classic screamin eagle and love it. we were just looking for a little better feeling of safety. i hope as we are able to put miles on it gets better!
:congrats: :spyder2: :ohyea:
:welcome:

:welcome: You will need to get used to it. It took most bikers here anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple of thousand miles before they were comfortable. When the weather permits, set up some soccer cones or tennis balls cut in half in a parking lot, and practice the skills course in the manual (or on the DVD). It really helps your comfort level. Also, consider increasing the air in the front tires from the recommended (low) pressure. Most folks run about 20 psi on the RS, but a bit less on the RT. I ran 18/28 on the front/rear of my RTS. In addition, you may want to adjust the front spring preload, especially for two-up riding. If you do, be sure to jack up the Spyder and lubricate the adjuster with WD-40. Enjoy the Ryde!

I had limited history on a two-wheeler (compared to most on this site), and I too thought I made a mistake. After ryding it for a while realized it was me that had to adjust to it, and I feel much safer on my Spyder than a two-wheeler. :welcome: and :congrats:

Congrats on your delivery

:congrats: Glad to see the Viper Red's are starting to arrive. Still no deliveries in NC. Was yours a SE or SM model? I'm waiting for the SE5. I should clarify as I'm listed in Alexandria, VA. I also have a house in NC and they offfered a great deal where here in VA they would only talk list price plus added freight and dealer prep.

My dealer called me today he unloaded a red RT/se that I have been waiting to see he cut the plastic so I could see the color, he knows I am going to buy one the only ? Is the color he is going to put it and a blue one together so I can make up my mind The red reminds me of my old (65) corvette.
