• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone installed a Garmin XT2 and Touratech Lock with Helibars? Any pics? Will it fit?

Has anyone installed a Garmin XT2 and Touratech Lock with Helibars? Would you have any pictures of the arrangement? I currently have a Garmin 590LM with a Tourtech mount and Helibars on my 2020 RT. I have the Can-Am GPS mount on the handlebar stem. I want to make sure that the XT2 will fit within the Helibars.

I have, and they will not fit between the bars. You'll have to mount the GPS/Touratech either in front or behind. One option that will fit better is the MotoPumps GPS lock. Not as secure, but effective and simple in design. I used that for a time being. I am currently using my XT2/Touratech mount on my RT S2S with standard F3 bars. If I switch to my Helibars, I'll go with the MotoPump lock.

Thanks for the info Troop. What do you think of the XT2? Is there a big improvement from a 590LM or 660?
Can’t help you with the 590LM or 660 as I never used them. I did have the Zumo XT, and I do like the XT2 for its brighter screen and extra features.

FWIW, I have the XT2, have had the 660, and the BMW NAV V (as well as many older units). The XT2 is much better in its display, but the routing interface is new, as well as using the Tred app from Garmin to create and transfer routes. I was a big Base Camp fan and had really mastered it, but the XT2 is not supported in Base Camp. I have quickly learned to like the new routing on the XT2, as well as using the Garmin Tred app. It has weather radar and traffic capability as well. I am really liking it.
