• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone had the ABS kick in?

I had a couple of occasions during Bike Week when I had to really stand on the brakes to avoid a nasty situation. The brakes worked just great and stopped me muy pronto, but I did not feel the ABS come into play. I was wondering if anyone has had their ABS kick in. Maybe I should check them out on a rainy day and see what happens.

i had a car pull out in front of me in the pooring rain doing about 80km/hour......hit the brakes.....no skidding and no feel of the abs kicking in.......just a straight quick smooth stop.....very impressed....but heart was in my mouth....missed the car by milli seconds

Was out playing in a big parking lot - trying the exercises from the back of the book, for one. Jim suggested stomping on the brake 'to get the feel of it'. He heard ABS cut in as the tires chattered. Then he tried it in the sandy stuff - yup, it works.

Carmel Valley road, 3 weeks ago. A white Ford Truck passed a bunch of cars/bikes, pulled into the middle of another group of bikes and hit the brakes. I actually lifted off my seat after hitting the brakes...no twisting, no turning, just a straight stop, a little hopping action from my tires and me looking at the tailgate.

Thanks for all the feed-back. I still have not had my ABS kick in, in spite of several near panic stops. I need to try them on sand I guess.
