• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Happy little kid

Was parked on Lookout Mt. in Tenn. yesterday and as we were getting ready to head back out a little kid ( about 7 or so ) came over and very politely asked me if it was ok to take a picture of the spyder. I looked at him and said nope.....his face fell ......and then told him that since he was so nice for asking , if he wanted I'd take a picture of him sitting on the spyder. Almost had to back up just to get all the smile on his face in the camera...LOL He was a happy camper and I told him thank you for being polite and asking. Mom was happy too. Sure beats coming out and finding someone sitting on it without asking. Felt good to make him happy and also know that someone was raising their kid right.

It's great to see the look on their faces. I did a Charity ride in February, 5800kms in 2 weeks and we stopped at a lot of small towns and obviously got a lot of attention, same thing, those that were polite enough to ask got to sit on it for a photo. One I remember vividly was when we reached Bluff (The very bottom of the South Island), a young fella grabbed his mum and came over to ask if they could take photos, I offered to let him sit on it for photos, he was wearing a John Deere cap and I went to the trunk and grabbed my Canam Spyder Cap, put it on him and said, you cant be on a Spyder with a tractor cap ;), the look on his face was priceless, needless to say there was a young boy walking away with a huge smile and a Canam Spyder Cap. It's moments like that the make up for the few that think they can please themselves.
