Handlebar replacement

I have a 2012 RS. Is it possible to replace the stock handlebar assembley with a different regular motorcycle handlebars configuration? I know I can just get some risers and install them to change the angle and pullback but some of the other handlebars are lots cheaper..

Anything is possible

You can hack up your handlebar cover and fit other bars, but it also holds the ign. Switch. Then there is the wire and cable length situation. There's NOT a ton of slack to be had. Do yourself a favor and buy a set of easy risers. It's the easy way out, and looks good. However , any risers that fit 7/8 bars will work. Don't go any taller than 4 or 4.5 inches, that's all the slack you have to work with.

I just saw some at Dennis Kirk. 69 bucks. they look good.

:agree:........with COZ on this one..............I think a Vendor here sells what you are looking for but I think the total cost is about $ 850.00 because of all the other things that have to be changed. .............Just get the Easy Risers................Mike :thumbup:

Thanks for the input. I don't want to raise them or pull them back much. No more than 3" or 4". I've looked at the ones at Dennis Kirk you suggested Coz, and they look like they should work fine. Thanks again...

You're welcome. Post some pics of those when you get finished. They should look pretty cool.
pay close attention to the little tab inside each control. It will need a corresponding hole in the pipe, if you should happen to need different pipe. It's there to keep the controls from rotating on the pipe. :thumbup:
