• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Handle bar sizing - I-fit

Hi all, So if I want a closer bar position, it’s the “short reach” bar? And how much $$ and is that easy for a semi/not-so-much mechanic abilities person to do? Thanx!

$ 149.00 and very easy to install ..... IF you have enough slack in the wires that go to the handlebar controls

I originally had the bars put on where they come closest to the rider, which I imagine that is what is called the short reach (which the dealer indicated that it was the A position handlebar). No problem with the cable length. My guess, could be wrong, is that BRP does not make different cable lengths for each handlebar as I had mine changed after the motorcycle came in to the Dealer.

After riding with my wife I have decided that I don't want them that close to my body so the dealer is going to change out the handlebars for me to the next size (which I think he called position B but I am not totally sure). Though I am waiting for the heated comfort seats to be installed to see if that makes a position difference.

Do you think you could post a few pictures of the short reach bars on your 2020 RTL? Plus ones with you sitting on your RT and your hands on the grips. Lots of pictures is not too many. Thanks.

Copperman,
I decided to go out and try some pictures, sorry none with me on it. I tried putting a tape measure on when I could get it to stay in the wind.
The first image is the distance from the center of the seat to the handlebar and the tape body adds 3 1/4"

The second is an attempt to measure the handlebar length.

The third is an overhead view with me standing on the passenger foot rest.

The rest are also probably obvious.

Hope this helps, I probably should have removed the garbage can.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I am going to see the dealer on Monday to take some 360 degree photos of his place to put on Google for him.
