There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Handle Bar Removal Help

frank3

RT-S PE#0180
Got all of my ceramic exhaust parts back on and all the aluminum members coated with carbon fiber and re installed. Now want to remove and disassemble handle bar so I can get it covered in carbon fiber print. I know that Stripperking did this but after reading the service manual, I'm puzzled. Reading the instructions, looks like I've got to remove the whole console module in order to remove the ignition switch and remove the handle bar. Am I reading this right?
By the way, I've read lamonsters instructions for posting pictures and as soon as it's warm enough to get the RT out, I'll take some pictures of the ceramic and carbon fiber work.

Frank3,

I have had my handle bars off my RT. I chromed them and I also put a spacer under them to raise them up and back a little. I did a video, see link below. It's a BIG job. I hope this helps!

Matt,
Great video. Thanks for the feedback. Spending this week rearranging my basement garage area so I don't have to use the main garage up top to work on the RT this time. Had the main garage tied up for 2 weeks when I did the ceramic exhaust and some other carbon fiber coating and required parking my pickup outside. Should be ready this week end to take the RT apart.

Matt, that was a great video. It does show just how much work there is in doing this job and just because of one piece of plastic. I agree the handle bars could be a touch higher.
