• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Handle bar extentions

I'm thinking about adding handlebar extentions to my 09 GS. The Kewl metal setup look a lot like the ISCI setup. Does anyone know the difference between them and/or experience with them. The cost is also very close. Thanks for any input you might have.

The Kewl Metal ones have an extra adjustment [by comparison] which is the ability to swing the grips in or out. I have the Kewl Metal ones and really like the looks of them, but some don't, liking them to tinker toys.

I installed the Kewl ones on the day I purchased my '08 GS this past June.

It was quite nerve wracking as you have to cut off excess handlebar that sticks out beyond the Kewl clamps.

You also have to go digging in the upper front to cut cable ties & release all the wiring you can that leads to the LHS switchgear. The reverse gear cable will be stretched to its max also.

The 2 throttle cables also have to be released a bit as well.

Despite all the above I am very happy with them & they give "lots" of adjustment. They are beautifully made.
