• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hand grips

I am thinking of installing heated grips and just figuring out the inside diameter of grips.. found one site that was linked before that:
Inside Diameter: Left .875" and Right 1.030" .. is that right?

I used grip puppies briefly, but they started to split after a couple months of use. I ended up buying XO Prodox grips that are a complete replacement that attach securely and totally replace the throttle attachment. However, XO Prodox has closed because of the untimely death of the owner, Alex. The family sold the designs and manufacture equipment to another company called DLX Prodox. They can be found at http://dlxprodox.com/index.php . I hope this helps.

My RT has the factory heated grips... Is there any way to slap a better grip on mine and still retain that marvelous warm feeling???

I put on a set of Grip Puppies. Still get warmth even on low setting and they have a good feel to them. Get the small set. Only took a minute for each side once I learned the technique. :2thumbs:

You installed Kuryakyn's black ISO grips? I was told that they were for Harley applications only and wouldn't fit the Spyder. :dontknow:

If they did work, then I'll be ordering them tomorrow! :ohyea:

Let me know and thanks for posting!

I have the chrome grips from Kuryakyn's on my spyder with no problem. Bought them on E-Bay.

Are these the same as "grip puppies"? If not, do you have address for puppies?

Get "Grip Puppies". You can order from this link. Order the small version.

When you get them they will look too long. I trimmed off 1/8" and it is just right for the RT. The trick to get these on is to coat the Spyder grip with very soapy water. Coat the inside of the Grip Puppy then stretch the end over the Spyder grip once it's started take a dry rag and push the Grip Puppy on. You need the rag to be able to get a good hold. Only took a minute on each side using this method.

Black ISO Grips are nice

I used the black Kuryakyn ISO grips modified to work with my Throttlemeister. Had to drill out the outer end to fit the Throttlemeister shaft on the right side, but works great. The left side fits right on the stock 7/8 inch handlebar.

I've been down this road too. I started because my hands were going numb. 1st tried the Can Am Billet Inserts. Then went to the Can Am Upgraded grips. Then I found someone's post about Grip Puppies. I ended up with great comfort and NO numb hands. But they don't look as cool as those black ISO's. But for me, I've gotta stick with COMFORT! Good Luck

I had the Kuryakyn grips but with my small hands and having to use the handbrake which is farther out that rocket ones I need some narrower grips
that still don't beat the crap out of your hands when burning thru the corners.

I have dirtbike ones on now but they are sketchy for long trips or hard driving

Does anyone know if the Kuryakyn Black ISO-Grips work with the BRP anti vibe bar ends?

Got it, per their tech department they will not!
