• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

so i went shopping yesterday and bought candy for the kids ringing the bell today, i sure hope they come or i might go into diabetic shock tonight

Just keep your blood glucose testing meter nearby, and... :lecturef_smilie: check it hourly!

Oh! Since it IS Halloween!

i saw this last year, was a great prank

by the way, why don't witches have kids,,, because their husbands have hollowweiners

Remember the Halloween treats that were given out in Grumpy Old Men? Those would save you from getting diabetic shock.

The wife and I always enjoyed Halloween, but when we moved to our present neighborhood, we were warmed to just turn off the lights or go to a movie. Would we listen? Nooo! Bought 600 treats and ran out at 2000 hrs! Kids were backed up to the curb. Not much fun! This year, one neighbor is gearing up for TWO THOUSAND! Happy Halloween, everybody, but I gotta go pull the shades and turn out the lights so we can go to a movie! :yikes: :(

Bummer..!!

always buy and no one comes. Live in a accessably unfreindly place. Think I would learn..!! But optomistic...:gaah::yes:

we usually have 60 to 70 kids for treats. Last night only about 40 due to cold rain, this morning we have 2 inches of snow and still snowing.

We had about 65 kids show up...
There were a couple of events going on in Town to entertain everyone. The Boy Scouts had a Haunted House and hayride event going on, and the PTA had their "Trunk or Treat" event. (Folks and Businesses show up at the School with a decorated vehicle, and give out treats to the kids.)
Both were very well-attended, so it cut down on the foot traffic around the houses.
That leaves more candy for me! :D

No children scouring our area for tricks or treats. The fire dept had a get together for the children in Eagle River and we saw quite a crowd there.

I don't understand it. There are kids in my neighborhood, and on my block, and this year we didn't have any. the last few years we have had maybe 4 or 5 kids.
I still buy candy just in case, but I also buy toys to give out. For the girls I give out a little bird in a glass cage and for the boys I give out a helicopter. ( you shoot it in the air and it glides down with lights spinning.
I feel so bad that they don't come on my block.
